Why Manav Seva Sahara Vikas Sanstha

“Behind the veil of tears and sorrow, we strive to grow a smile.”

Manav Seva Sahara Vikas Sanstha is committed to uplifting countless distressed individuals—including physically and mentally challenged persons, underprivileged children, senior citizens, and communities deprived of basic necessities. Through structured distribution drives and compassionate outreach, we ensure that essential support reaches those who need it the most.
Our organisation strongly believes in utilizing every donation with transparency and integrity. The name “Manav Seva” itself reflects our mission—serving humanity with empathy, dignity, and dedication.

How Our Journey Began:

The foundation of this humanitarian initiative was laid in 1996 by Shri Ashish Lobo, who envisioned making even a small yet meaningful difference in the lives of the deprived. What started under the banner of Sahayata Group gradually grew into a powerful movement of compassion.
In the early years, the group organized free drinking water kiosks across Nagpur, including platforms 1 & 4 of the railway station. This was followed by a free Basic Computer Skills course for underprivileged youth, inter-school dance competitions, teacher’s day Antakshari for educators, and cultural/sports events to bring joy to those typically excluded from such experiences.

Becoming an Official NGO:

In 2002, recognizing the growing impact of its activities, the organization formalized its operations and registered itself with the Charity Commissioner under the name Manav Seva Sahara Vikas Sanstha. This marked the beginning of a structured, accountable, and expanding mission to serve society.

Expanding Our Impact:

Post-2002, the NGO began intensifying its material distribution activities. It started collecting and distributing items like clothes, woollens, school bags, stationery, footwear, crutches, wheelchairs, water bottles, and other essentials. Over the years, thousands of beneficiaries have experienced relief, support, and dignity through these initiatives.
A milestone achievement was receiving the 80G Certificate from the Commissioner of Income Tax—an acknowledgment of the organisation’s integrity, transparency, and sincere service towards humanity.
